SuperSport TV will remain the official broadcast rights holders until the end of the 2023/24 PSL season, after the two parties agreed on a new five-year deal.
The league opened a bidding process for broadcasters across sub-saharan Africa to win a tender for the rights to the Absa Premiership, MTN8, Telkom Knockout and Nedbank Cup, with the MultiChoice group coming out tops.
"PSL is delighted to continue its special relationship which has existed over a 10-year period and has seen the Premier Soccer League grow into a world class product," reads a statement from PSL chairman Irvin Khoza.
"We feel the relationship has resulted in tangible benefits for the Premier Soccer League, its clubs, players and South African football generally."
SuperSport TV's chief executive Gideon Khobane added: "We are delighted to have been successful with our bid. The decision allows us to further entrench an outstanding soccer product in the hearts and minds of supporters across the continent.
