Mvala missed the 2-1 league win over Bidvest Wits at Makhulong Stadium last Saturday due to injury, with the former South Africa under-23 star watching on from the stands.
Highlands Park media officer Sibonelo Ngidi confirmed that Mvala got a knock at training before their game against Wits.
"He got a knock at training. There is nothing major. He should be available for our next match," said Ngidi.
Mvala recently expressed his desire to play for one of the three big teams in Gauteng.
Highlands face Benni McCarthy's Cape Town City at Cape Town Stadium tonight, with kick-off at 20h00.
