Chiefs and the City of eThekwini Municipality entered into a three-year agreement last term to stage a few of Amakhosi's league and cup matches at the 2010 World Cup semi-final venue.
When the PSL released the fixtures for the new campaign, Chiefs notably had no home games earmarked for Mabhida.
However, Mazibuko insists their contract remains intact with the Soweto giants.
"The agreement is still in place as it was agreed last season," Mazibuko tells snl24.com/kickoff.
"We have agreed on games that will played at the venue. They [Chiefs] will make an announcement soon, but nothing has changed.
"As the fixtures you said are out and none scheduled at Moses Mabhida Stadium, Chiefs will go to the PSL and ask them to play some matches at the venue. But the deal is still in place."
Chiefs' last game at Mabhida was the infamous Nedbank Cup semi-final 2-0 loss to Free State Stars on April 21.
After the final whistle, fans assaulted security guards and damaged the venue to the tune of R2,6 million among other acts of hooliganism.
On the day 12 people were treated for injuries at the stadium, while six were admitted to hospital and later discharged.
Coach Steve Komphela resigned immediately after the match amid safety concerns following three years without silverware under his watch at Naturena.
KwaZulu-Natal sides Golden Arrows and AmaZulu, who have their offices at the venue, will continue to host teams at KwaMashu's Princess Magogo Stadium and Umlazi's King Zwelithini Stadium respectively.
The only confirmed football fixture at Mabhida at this stage is Bafana Bafana's 2019 AFCON qualifier with Libya on September 8.
