Hendrick Ekstein admits dissatisfaction with Kaizer Chiefs progress

Ekstein is currently in his fourth season since his promotion to the Amakhosi first team ahead of the 2014/15 season, but is yet to prove his worth.

The 27-year-old attacker has managed just three goals in over 60 appearances for the Glamour Boys, and currently looks to be enjoying his most prominent season.

After managing 13 starts in all competitions under coach Steve Komphela last season, Ekstein already has an improved tally of 16 starts to his name this term.

However, with just one goal to his name thus far, ‘Pule’ admits he is still short of his best and insists he is working hard to prove his worth in the team to the supporters.

“To be honest, I’m not happy with my progress. I’m still working on it and I’m willing to work harder. I’m learning from coach Steve and my teammates,” said Ekstein.

“My promise to the team and supporters is to work hard and do more, and to do well for the team. I promise that I will do well.”
