With several big Nedbank Cup clashes lined up this weekend, snl24.com/kickoff revisits five of the biggest upsets in the competition you may have forgotten.
A number of 'David and Goliath' battles are on the cards in the Nedbank Cup this weekend that will see Premiership sides come up against lower division sides, which could create new historic upsets.
The first of these on Saturday will see Golden Arrows take on Gauteng SAB Regional League outfit Vaal University of Technology at Dobsonville Stadium at 15h30.
Kaizer Chiefs will then entertain GladAfrica Championship side Royal Eagles, who are currently bottom of the league table, at FNB Stadium at 18h00.
On Sunday, Black Leopards will welcome ABC Motsepe League side North West University, where the likes of Orlando Pirates star Xola Mlambo and SuperSport United's Thabo Mnyamane hail from, to Thohoyandou Stadium at 15h00.
Cape Town City will also come up against Mbombela United, who are currently some 20 places below the Mother City outfit in 15thh position on the Championship log, at KaNyamazane Stadium in Mpumalanga.
