An Al Ahly star has explained how distraught he was after his team was eliminated from the CAF Champions League by Mamelodi Sundowns.
The Red Devils were knocked out of the Champions League by the South African giants in the semi-finals on the away goals rule after a tightly contested two-legged tie.

The first leg, held at the Loftus Versfeld Stadium in Tshwane, ended in a goalless draw, leaving everything to play for in the return match in Cairo.
Despite managing a 1-1 draw in the second leg, it was not enough for the Egyptian giants to progress, as Masandawana advanced with the advantage of an away goal.
As a result, Marawan Attia was left hurt, as the Champions League has long been a major target for the Red Devils, who are the most successful club in the competition’s history.
Attia described the Champions League exit at the hands of Sundowns as the worst game he has ever encountered.
"The last match against Sundowns was the saddest I've ever been," Attia said, according to Sport Elfagr.

"Every time I watch a video, a match summary, or anything that reminds me of it, I feel deeply sad. If we had gotten past that match, we would have been much closer to winning the title.
"Despite this disappointment, God compensated us with the league championship, which is an important and precious title, and we always strive to achieve more accomplishments to please Al-Ahly fans."
