SuperSport United players receive MTN prize money bonuses

United beat Highlands Park 1-0 in the final courtesy of Bradley Grobler's goal as Kaitano Tembo clinched his first trophy as a head coach.

The Matsatsantsa players were promised they would share half of the R8-million prize money if they won the tournament.

The Tshwane club's management has duly kept their promise and the players have received their monies.

"We got our money as promised," one of the players confirms to snl24.com/kickoff.

"SuperSport United is one great family and even the backroom staff received their bonuses.

"The money has done a lot for some of us who are investing and obviously some players prefer use their money in different ways.

"At the end of the day it's their hard-earned efforts and they deserve it."

Matsatsantsa are now left with the league and Nedbank Cup to win this season and recently warned Absa Premiership leaders Kaizer Chiefs not to write them off.
