Pitso Mosimane says Mamelodi Sundowns will go after Cape Town City in MTN8 semi-finals

Sundowns, who lost the first leg 1-0, are smarting after a goalless draw with Horoya at the same venue on Tuesday ended their run in the African Champions League at the group stages.

However, 'Jingles' is taking the positives from the costly result against the outfit from Guinea.

“We have to look at this loss to Horoya, how it came about,” Mosimane is quoted as saying on his club's website.

“Obviously there are a lot of positives. The mentality is good. The attitude is good.

“The one thing that I can say is that we will give City the attack we gave Horoya, we will go at them.

“When you don’t have goals, it’s normal in a team. The challenge is when you don’t create the chances to score. Then you know you have a problem.

“So we don’t have a problem to create the goals. The challenge is that we aren’t converting, and you saw that against Horoya,” concluded Mosimane, who believes his side's results in Togo and Guinea ultimately cost them a spot in the quarter-finals of the CAF showpiece.

Kaizer Chiefs will host SuperSport United at FNB Stadium in the other last-four tie of the MTN8 on Saturday, with the sides drawing 2-2 in the first leg.
