'Jingles' cited Leonardo Castro as a prime example of a player who took time to acclimatise before finsing his feet.
When Castro joined Sundowns at start of last season many questioned the transfer policy of the club but once the Colombian striker hit the ground running he formed a beguiling partnership with Keagan Dolly and Khama Biliat.
That trio, christened 'CBD', helped Mosimane's side breaks records and win the league title and Telkom Knockout Cup last season at a canter.
Zakri, who signed from ASEC Mimosas of Ivory Coast this season, made his debut for Sundowns in the MTN8 quarter-final against Chippa United and featured in the league match Maritzburg United.
"It's an integration and it takes time. You know Castro played eight games [last season] without scoring a goal for Sundowns," said Mosimane.
"People started to get impatient. Sbusiso Vilakazi is lucky because he scored against Supersport United [in the MTN8 quarter-final] and he made the chances and he created the chances. Even against Chippa United [in the MTN8 semi-final first-leg] he created chances.
"But Zakri is a good buy and he's going to give a little offload from Castro who is out injured."
The 25-year-old Zakri is set to lead the line tomorrow when Sundowns host Chippa United in the MTN8 second-leg semi-final at Lucas Moripe Stadium.
