Sundowns, who won the league and Telkom Knockout last term, yesterday booked their place in the MTN8 final alongside Bidvest Wits following a 1-0 win over Chippa United.
The Brazilians can reach another final on Saturday if they defeat Zambia's Zesco United in the second leg of their CAF Champions League last-four tie at Lucas Moripe Stadium. Mosimane's men lost the first duel 2-1 in Ndola.
"Before I came here there was eight years of drought with all players ... quality. They bought more than I bought and why didn't they win? Because you have to go inside and try and make them believe," says Mosimane.
"At Sundowns where we see a trophy, we want to lift it. It's culture, mentality, it's in the DNA. We go to Namibia, it's a pre-season tournament against Pirates I said we lifting the trophy. We played Nedbank Ke Yona Cup, we lift the trophy. We played eTV Cup, we lift the trophy. Whatever is in front of us we lift, it's Sundowns."
'Jingles' concedes success raises expectations.
"The pressure at Sundowns, the pressure is high at Sundowns. You have to try and win the cup finals and expectations are high. If you are a coach at Sundowns you are expected to win the league. You are expected to win the cup, whichever one you are competing in. It's unbelievable, it's massive pressure."
