Pirates could be without the services of striker Gabadinho Mhango when they come up against arch-rivals Kaizer Chiefs at Orlando Stadium on Saturday (15h00).
The Malawi international, who was the club and league's top goalscorer in 2019/20, suffered a groin strain in their midweek encounter against Stellenbosch and is now in a race against time to make it back into the squad for the MTN8 semi-final first leg.
However, while Zinnbauer admits the 28-year-old is a vital part of his setup, he is confident that he has enough in his arsenal to put out a solid showing against Amakhosi.
"They are working on it [the injury], he had a scan on Thursday but I will speak with the medical team and the doctor, and then I will get information," Zinnbauer told the media.
"I hope it's good, but it was not so [good] after the game on Wednesday, and we hope now he gets better and we have a chance that we can use him on Saturday.
"Mhango is a top striker and it's always bad when we lose a top striker, but we have other players in the team who can also score.
"You saw on Wednesday, we had chances to score with [Zakhele] Lepasa, Terrence [Dzvukamanja] and [Vincent] Pule, so we have players that can score. I hope we have Gaba, but we have other players too, and they can also score."
