Nande Becker responds to Itu Khune trip on Judas Moseamedi Ace Ncobo call

The former referee wants Khune to be punished for violent conduct after he tripped Maritzburg United striker Judas Moseamedi during last weekend's MTN8 quarter-final.

Following Thabiso Kutumela's goal in the first half Moseamedi ran after the striker to celebrate with his teammate, but a frustrated Khune stretched out his leg to trip the Tzaneen-born striker.

Chiefs came from behind and won the match 2-1.

Analysing the video on SuperSport show Extra Time on Monday, 'Mr Spot On' felt the Amakhosi captain got off likely.

"As soon as the ball is out of play, it's violent conduct," Ncobo said.

This obviously angered Chiefs fans on social media who asked if Ncobo was sleeping during last season's Soweto Derby when Orlando Pirates midfielder Thembinkosi Lorch stamped on Khama Billiat while he was down.

Asked by snl24.com/kickoff if he will heed Ncobo's call to punish Khune, Becker responds: "I heed nobody's call. I review facts and make considered decisions."
