Both goalkeepers have come a long way, and at national Under-23 level Meyiwa was first choice, while Khune was his understudy.
But in the last few years the tables have turned, with Khune making the Kaizer Chiefs number one jersey his own, before claiming the Bafana Bafana number one spot.
While Meyiwa had a slow start at club level, last season things changed for the better for the Bucs goalkeeper.
After toppling Moeneeb Josephs, he has become a vital member of the team, with his best performance coming in the CAF Champions League against TP Mazembe.
