Mngqithi, Rhulani Mokwena and Steve Komphela will begin their reign as co-coaches when The Brazilians take on Bloemfontein Celtic in the MTN8 in Tshwane on Sunday.
After the MTN8 game on Sunday, Sundowns will begin the defence of their league title with a trip to last season's runners-up Kaizer Chiefs next week.
After Mosimane's departure to Egyptian giants Al Ahly, all eyes will now be on the new coaching trio at Sundowns to bring more success to Chloorkop in the new campaign.
"We would not like to tamper much with what has been happening all along because we have been part of it, but obviously all coaches have their own individual differences," Mngqithi said during the press conference ahead of Sunday's clash.
"There are going to be small elements that can change in the game and approach and probably the personality of the team... and also looking at the number of [new] players we have. It's more slightly they will bring small elements into the game and that's why we brought them here.
"One cannot say it's going to be exactly the same but we will try as much as we can that the team [will be] okay more or less as Pitso's era. As I said, there will be changes here and there but they have to be slowly introduced."
Sundowns have striker Mauricio Affonso as another option after a long-term injury for when Siwelele turn up to Lucas Moripe Stadium on Sunday evening.
