Head of the Mamelodi Sundowns triumvirate Manqoba Mngqithi has played down the importance of positions in the club's new coaching triangle.
Sundowns are set to start a new era under new leadership when they take on Bloemfontein Celtic in the MTN8 quarter-finals on Sunday.
Following the departure of Pitso Mosimane to join Al Ahly in Egypt, Sundowns have appointed three coaches to lead the team this season in Mngqithi, Rhulani Mokwena and Steve Komphela.

However, the question that many fans are asking themselves is who is going to call the shots on the bench when they take on Siwelele at Lucas Moripe Stadium.
All three coaches have held head coach positions in the past, with Komphela being the latest to join the club from Golden Arrows.
Mngqithi believes that positions don't matter as much as the success of Sundowns, starting with the MTN8 trophy this season.
"The only unfortunate part in our society which I think we all need to learn from, we are entrenched into thinking about positions," Mngqithi said ahead of their first match of the season.

"I always say to people, 'Positions are the lowest part of leadership because there are five steps in leadership and the most important elements in leadership are beyond positions.'
"If you are a father in your house, you can't be busy telling the kids that 'I am the father' because it's not about being known that you are the father or not, it's about the responsibility of being a father.
"Are you taking care of the family? Why do you have to make them aware you are the father? Maybe you doubt that there is something that they are not sure of. Our society is too entrenched in always being worried about positions.
"That's why even in politics people are fighting and killing each other to become councillors and ministers because they think positions are everything, yet position is the lowest part of leadership."

Sundowns are set to be without defender Tebogo Langerman as he starts a two-match suspension.
The Brazilians are going into the new season in buoyant mood after winning a domestic treble and signing several new players for the 2020/21 season.
