“No matter the score we win with, it is important to remember we have our home record to protect and we have to go for the win,” Manyama said on the eve of the match.
City trail Wits 3-0 after last weekend’s first leg tie in Johannesburg and would need a dramatic turn round on Saturday evening to book themselves a place in next month’s final.
But in their two home matches since the franchise was established, City won both by beating Polokwane City in the Absa Premiership and then Kaizer Chiefs in the quarter-final of the MTN8.
That was followed by their first away trip to Johannesburg, where Wits handed them a tough lesson, and a 1-0 loss at the hands of Lamontville Golden Arrows in Durban in midweek.
“It’s going to be tough to come back from two losses. But it could be the turning point we need,” suggested Manyama.
“We’ll are going all out to win and in Cape Town, stranger things have happened in the past.
“Obviously we have not had a nice feeling over the last week, nobody likes to lose. As the coach says we have to learn from our losses.
"Against Wits, we were nowhere to be found. All of us. But against Arrows we were better, but we could have been much better than that,” he added.
