City suffered their second successive defeat away to Arrows on Wednesday, following their MTN8 drubbing at the hands of Budvest Wits last weekend.
But according to Tinkler, his side "deserved more" out of the match and believes they played much better than the scoreline reflects.
"Not much went wrong last night against Arrows," Tinkler tells snl24.com/kickoff. "To be quite honest the 2-0 scoreline isn't a true reflection as well.
"We played well but fell behind when [Tshepo] Gumede converted a low cross into his own net, and then we were chasing the game.
"Mind you, we had a good shout for a penalty in the first 10 minutes of the game but the ref didn't see it that way. In the second half we put them under pressure and the ball just didn't wanted to go in.
