Malajila arrived at The Clever Boys from Mamelodi Sundowns just over two months ago, as part of a deal that saw Sibusiso Vilakazi going in the opposite diretion.
The 30-year-old frontman has been used sparingly since arriving at Sturrock Park, manging just two starts in the league and cup competition thus far, but was delighted to have scored his first goal after coming off the bench in their 2-0 win over Baroka last week.
"The good thing is that it [the goal] came, and now I can look forward to the season and the games to come," Malajila told reporters at the club's training base on Tuesday morning. "After scoring, [my confidence] is coming now and I'm pretty confident. Anything that comes my way now, I can do the job."
The Zimbabwean international is set to face his former employers in the MTN8 final on Saturday and believes, with adequate planning, Wits can certainly prove that The Brazilians are beatable.
"We are focussing on what we are going to do in [Saturday's] game. As a team we are looking forward to the match and I know we are going to watch some videos of them and look at their mistakes," he added. "We are going to exploit on those mistakes and if we stop where their strength comes from, it will be good for us."
Malajila adds that the decision to join Wits is proving to be a good one as he prepares for his first ever top eight final, and feels his own ambition matches that of the club.
"As a player, you always aim high, which is why I chose to join Bidvest [Wits]. In two months [since arriving], I am already playing in a final. I've never played in an MTN8 final, and Wits have given me that chance in two months' time.
"As a player you have to be ambitious. You have to know where you are going and what you want to achieve. Now that I'm here I want to achieve all that the club wants, so I have to work hard and give everything to the team," he concluded.
