CONFIRMED: PSL announce 2022/23 MTN8 final venue

The Premier Soccer League (PSL) has announced that the Moses Mabhida Stadium in Durban will be the venue for the 22/23 MTN8 Final.

"The iconic Moses Mabhida Stadium in Durban, Kwa-Zulu Natal will host  2022/23 #MTN8 Final on Saturday, 05 November 2022. 

The PSL will confirm the kick-off time, ticketing information, and other match logistics in due course," the PSL announced on Friday.

With Stellenbosch, Cape Town City, SuperSport United and Royal AM already dumped out of the competition, only four clubs remain in contention for the coveted trophy. By the end of October, only two will remain.

Meanwhile, this weekend Orlando Pirates are set to host Mamelodi Sundowns in the first leg fixture of the 2022/23 MTN8 semi-final. The match will be played at the Orlando Stadium in Soweto, before Kaizer Chiefs host AmaZulu at the FNB Stadium in Nasrec on Sunday. both matches are scheduled for 15:30 kick-off.

The second round of the semi-final fixtures will see Mamelodi Sundowns host Orlando Pirates at the New Peter Mokaba Stadium in Polokwane on Saturday, 22 October, while AmaZulu will host Kaizer Chiefs at the Moses Mabhida Stadium the next day, on Sunday, 23 October.

Moses Mabhida Stadium was also the venue for the 2021/22 MTN8 Final match in which Sundowns defeated Cape Town City 3-1 on penalties.
