Clayton Daniels calls Gaston Sirino a small boy and invites him for coffee

SuperSport United defender Clayton Daniels is checking up at the Mall of Africa in Midrand to see if he can find Gaston Sirino to invite him for a coffee.

Daniels and the Mamelodi Sundowns playmaker were caught in a scuffle during the MTN8 semifinal between Sundowns and United at Lucas Moripe Stadium a few weeks ago.

Both players were lucky not to receive their marching orders from the referee after the incident but later Sundowns coach Pitso Mosimane invited the former Ajax Cape Town defender to challenge Denis Onyango or Wayne Arendse for a bout.

Daniels says he is still interested to meet Sirino off the field and have a chat.

"You know what, I have been looking for him at the Mall of Africa. I don't see him there," said Daniels.

"I just want to have a chat. I just want to buy him maybe coffee. I just want to cool him off a little bit, just relax so that when we go to the soccer field everything is sorted out and everything in his house will be okay. I think my house is okay now with the MTN8."

Daniels is hoping that next time they meet with Sirino on the field, both will act more professionally.

"I believe Pitso Mosimane wants other deals. He wants me to stand up against Onyango and Wayne Arendse. I didn't stand up against Sirino. He was standing up to me," explained the defender.

"He is a small boy, he is small in structure. He didn't have to do those things. I hope he learnt from it. We are professional players. I don't want to let my team down by going to the game with a different mindset."
