The 2020/21 season is set to kick off with the top-eight tournament on Saturday, 17 October when PSL new-boys Tshakhuma Tsha Madzivhandila host Matsatsantsa.
TTM's first match since buying Bidvest Wits' PSL status will be televised by national broadcaster SABC, as well as Amakhosi's last-eight clash against Maritzburg United on Sunday, 18 Octotber. All four MTN8 matches will also be broadcast on SuperSport.
'The MTN8 quarter-finals will be played on the weekend of 17 and 18 October 2020,' reads a statement from the PSL.
'In line with COVID-19 regulations, all four matches will be played behind closed doors.
'Tshakhuma Tsha Madzivhandila FC and SuperSport United will kick off proceedings when they lock horns at Thohoyandou Stadium on Saturday, 17 October 2020. Kick-off is at 15h00.
'Later on Saturday evening at 18h00, Orlando Pirates, who won the competition in 2010 and 2011, will take on 2018 champions Cape Town City at Orlando Stadium.
'On Sunday, 18 October 2020, Kaizer Chiefs will welcome Maritzburg United to FNB Stadium in the early kick-off (15h00) followed by a clash between Mamelodi Sundowns and Bloemfontein Celtic at Lucas Moripe Stadium. Kick-off is at 18h00.'
