According to an insider at Tuks, the club has also retained veterans Collins Mbesuma and Clifford Ngobeni.
"Both Mbesuma and Ngobeni are still part of the club," the club source tells snl24.com/kickoff.
"Jan Motaung is coming with credentials after helping the University team win the Varsity Football Cup and USSA tournament many times."
Motaung has replaced Zipho Dlangalala, who left the club to join TS Galaxy as assistant coach.
Tuks have also signed former Tshakhuma FC star Wonderboy Makhubu on loan from Baroka FC.
