PSL legend Collins Mbesuma gets coaching job

Kaizer Chiefs legendary striker Collins Mbesuma has been appointed assistant coach at a Motsepe Foundation Championship side.

"Ntofontofo" the retired striker known in South African football, will serve as an assistant at Pretoria Callies.

According to sources, Callies is planning to announce Mbesuma's appointment soon.

The struggling Tshwane side is currently stuck at the bottom of the table with only two wins in 12 matches.

So far they have been only able to gather eight points this season.

The 38-year-old Mbesuma made 13 appearances for Callies last season playing as a striker before he was let go.

"Yes it's true Mbesuma is back with us, it's just a matter of his arrival being announced properly by the club, but I can tell you he is here," A source tells KickOff.

"The club believes he is capable of helping our strikers score goals."

When contacted by this publication to confirm his new role at the club, Mbesuma was not so forthcoming.

"Let me finalise everything then we can talk."

Besides Callies and Chiefs, Mbesuma also starred for Mamelodi Sundowns, Orlando, Mpumalanga Black Aces and AmaTuks FC.
