Hungry Lions sink Baroka to move top of the table

Hungry Lions 1-0 Baroka

Hungry Lions climbed up to the top of the Motsepe Foundation Champions standings after defeating Baroka FC on Saturday afternoon at Windhoek Draught Park.

After a goalless first stanza, Tau scored the decisive goal for Lions early in the second stanza that gave them maximum points.

Baroka, meanwhile, have slipped to eighth spot after suffering their fourth defeat of the season.

Casric Stars 1-0 Uthongathi

Casric Stars won their third game in four matches after edging Uthongathi 1-0 on Sunday afternoon at Solomon Mahlangu Stadium.

Thabang Semache scored the decisive goal for the home side as early as the fifth minute.

The win takes Stars up to third spot while Uthongathi have dropped to sixth position.

Black Leopards 0-0 Magesi

Black Leopards missed the chance to win back-to-back matches for the first time after they were held to a goalless draw by Magesi in the Limpopo derby on Sunday afternoon at Malamulele Stadium.

Lidoda Duvha remained in 14th spot on the table after dropping points while Magesi also did not move in 12th spot.

JDR Stars 2-1 All Stars

JDR Stars won for the first time in four matches after edging All Stars 2-1 on Saturday afternoon at Giant Stadium.

Bongani Cele broke the deadlock for the Hammer Boyz midway through the first stanza and All Stars levelled matters on the stroke of half-time.

However, Abel Moeketsi snatched what proved to be the winner for JDR on the hour-mark.

Venda Football Academy 0-0 University of Pretoria

University of Pretoria remained the only unbeaten side after they were held to a goalless draw by Venda Football Academy on Saturday afternoon at Thohoyandou Stadium.

AmaTuks, however, dropped down to second on the table while VFA remained in 13th spot.

Platinum City Rovers 0-0 Pretoria Callies 

Pretoria Callies halted their two-game losing streak after playing to a goalless draw against Platinum City Rovers on Saturday afternoon at Bidvest Stadium. 

City Rovers remained at the bottom of the log, equal on points with 15th-placed Callies.
