Moseamedi resurfaces at former club

News reaching KickOff says free agent Judas Mosedifferentrently training with his former club Maritzburg United.

The Tzaneen-born striker is currently without a club and is seeking employment in the Motsepe Foundation Championship.

In September 2023, Moseamedi, who also played for the likes of Cape Town City, Mpumalanga Black Aces and Stellenbosch FC parted ways with Tunisian club El Gawafel Sportives de Gafsa, just six weeks after joining.

He was released by the North African club without having kicked the ball for them.

Before his move to Tunisia, Moseasmedi had scored two goals in seven matches for Marumo Gallants in the 2022/23 Season.

According to a source, Moseamedi is now with the Team of Choice where he is trying his luck.

"Moseamedi is here, he is on trial here. The coach here is Zipho Dlangalala, and he is being very cautious," A source tells KickOff.

"Dlangalala is being very careful with his decision after what happened in Tunisia.

"He is avoiding a situation where he might sign him, only to release him without playing as it happened in Tunisia.

"Remember the boy is not open enough about what went wrong for him in Tunisia.

"Though the club chairman Farook Kadodia is a big fan of Moseamedi, the decision lies with the coach Zipho Dlangalala."

Maritzburg are currently fourth on the log table, behind Orbit College, JDR Stars and Hungry Lions.
