Malesela details Baroka's newest additions

Baroka FC's newly-appointed head coach Dan Malesela has detailed the club's two latest additions to reinforce his struggling side.

Malesela recently joined the Motsepe Foundation Championship outfit to improve the club's fortunes following the sacking of Stanford Nkoane.

Malesela has now made his two first signings in acquiring the services of former Marumo Gallants captain Lehlohonolo Nonyane, and TS Galaxy's Burkina Faso-born left-back Cheick Omar Ouedraogo.

Ourdraogo arrived in South Africa in August 2023, but a delay in his work permit meant Galaxy failed to register the player.

"We signed them to for back-up," Malesela tells KickOff.

"If you don't have a strong bench and strong substitutes, during a match you end up confused, while not knowing who to put in.

"I wanted an experienced centre-back, and I know Nonyane's lifestyle, he is very disciplined.

"And this other boy is actually at TS Galaxy, but we have him here on loan.

"We are not doing good on the left we rely on one person, so we thought it would be wise to get him a backup.

"So he's a left-back from Burkina Faso. He won't play immediately as we still have to get his work permit sorted.

"We need to push until December so that we get ourselves in a better position."
