In this edition of Throwback Thursday well-traveled left-back Cheslyn Jampies reveals the biggest regret of his football career.
Jampies explains how an agent convinced him to leave his beloved Jomo Cosmos in favour of a move to Bloemfontein Celtic over the mighty Orlando Pirates.
Jampies says he shouldn't have dumped his mentor Jomo Sono when they needed him most in 2016.
"I did enjoy my football, yes football has its ups and downs but today I'd be able to give back to football because of the football that was provided to me," Jampies tells KickOff.
"I'm not saying anything went wrong in my career, but I was thought that if I don't understand something then I must ask.
"I'm happy with what I have achieved thus far in my career.
"I hope someone out there can open the doors again so I could add to what I've achieved.
"The mistake of leaving Cosmos I think about it a lot. This is my biggest regret.
"It was a very, very big mistake to leave Cosmos. I was still hot property, straight out of Bafana Bafana, every team wanted me...the likes of Orlando Pirates, and I ended up going to Bloemfontein Celtic.
"There's certain things in your career you wish you did differently.
"I wished I had stayed there at Cosmos a little while with an amazing human, amazing coach and an amazing father.
"He has done a lot in this game noticed or unnoticed [Jomo Sono].
"Five months before my contract ended, it's that year we were relegated, I was approached by five different teams that year.
"My agent at the time thought it was the right decision for me to go to Bloemfontein Celtic.
