FUSA issue latest on Gallants case

The Football Union of South Africa [FUSA] has issued the latest on the case involving Marumo Gallants and three of their players.

Koketso More, Tshiamo Mashoene, and Tshepo Skosana were all charged with insubordination by the Motsepe Foundation club.

According to the president of FUSA yesterday the three players appeared in front of the club's disciplinary committee and decisions were made.

"Yesterday there was a hearing and in the first case which involves Koketso More we agreed to a settlement with the club, he was charged with insubordination," Motloung tells KickOff.

"He was accused of having taken part in an indoor soccer game on the 7th of December 2023.

"The player has been following a settlement with the club, they will pay the player for certain months.

"His contract with the club was left with six months, they will pay him for certain months, and both parties are happy with that.

"The second player is Tshiamo Mashoene, he was charged for not attending training session, insubordination, and being absent without leave.

"In his case, the club withdrew their charges and he was told to report back to work today. So he is still an employee of the club.

"The third one is Tshepo Skosana, his case has been postponed to the 15th of January, and the charges are the same, insubordination.

"Reason for postponement they are saying they want to amend the charges.

"I don't understand what they mean by that.

"We are happy our members did not plead guilty to all these charges, we always believed that they were not in the wrong."
