Ex-Chiefs star set for new deal in Motsepe Foundation

Former Kaizer Chiefs midfielder Joseph Molongoane is set to find a new home in the Motsepe Foundation Championship this season.

Molongoane who was in the colours of Marumo Gallants last season is now geared up to return to the same league again this season but this time with Platinum City Rovers. The former Amakhosi midfielder has already started training with the Bakone and is expected to sign with the club very soon. 

According to a source close to Platinum City Rovers, Molongoane is set to sign a 5-month contract with the club. 

"Molongoane has been training with the club for a few days now. The club is happy with his performance at training and is set to sign a short-term contract," said the source.

Platinum City Rovers are currently in position 14 on the log, with 17 points after 17 games so far this season.

Meanwhile City Rovers are set to travel to Witbank today to face Tshwane University of Technology in a friendly as part of Gender Based Violence awareness. The university team has partnered with a local taxi association to raise awareness of GBV both on campus and around Witbank.

City Rovers are currently lying position 14 on the Motsepe Foundation log with 17 points after 17 games so far this season.
