Venda Football Academy 0-1 Baroka FC
Baroka FC grabbed their first win of the season in the Motsepe Foundation Championship after defeating Venda Football Academy on Sunday.
After a goalless opening half, the visitors were bailed out right at the death as Kabelo Kgositsile secured the winning strike to leave Venda reeling.
The win takes Baroka off the foot of the table and up to tenth, while VFA dropped to the bottom of the table.
University of Pretoria 1-0 Black Leopards
Black Leopards' good run of form came to a halt following a 1-0 defeat to the University of Pretoria at the AmaTuks Stadium in Tshwane.
AmaTuks were ahead in the opening 20 minutes when Ayabulela Maqoko after Lidoda Duvha battled to clear their lines following a corner-kick.
The visitors couldn't engineer a turnaround after going behind and left AmaTuks to another win that see them remain in the top-half position.
NB La Masia 0-4 Hungry Lions
Hungry Lions continue to sit in third spot in the Motsepe Foundation Championship following a commanding 4-0 victory over NB La Masia on Friday.
Di Tau didn't take long to hit the ground running but were ahead at halftime after Raymond Daniels had broken the deadlock before Brian Valtyn made it two after halftime.
La Masia were breached again and saw Tlotlego Pitso pounce to further dampen their woes leaving Katlego Cwinyane to round off the disappointing outing to see the visitors to a comprehensive win.
Orbit College 3-2 Marumo Gallants FC
Orbit College regained top spot in the Motsepe Foundation Championship with an entertaining 3-2 victory over Marumo Gallants FC at the Giant Stadium on Saturday.
Orbit raced into a two-goal lead when Thabang Moleleki netted the opener before Mbulelo Wagaba doubled their lead after the halftime with another stern finish.
The visitors pulled a comeback as Saziso Magawana tucked in with a cooly taken penalty-kick and left Cyrille Nguessan to level a little later.
However, the host claimed all the points in the final seconds of the match when Wagaba finished off from close-range and saw the match to a close.
Magesi FC 2-3 JDR Stars
Magesi FC surrendered top spot and slumped three places down to fourth spot following a 3-2 defeat to JDR Stars in the Limpopo province.
Zimbabwean international Ishmael Wadi gave the Hammerboys the perfect start, but the host were back on level terms through Mcedi Vandala.
JDR regained the lead though when veteran striker Prince Nxumalo bulged the net and saw Dumisani Ngwenya add a third.
The home team did get a second later on with a spot-kick from Tshepo Matsemela's spot-kick, but it was just another consolation as JDR ended on the winning side.
Casric Stars 0-2 Milford Stallions
Milford Stallions moved further away from the bottom-two after recording their first win of the season with a 2-0 victory over Casric Stars in Mpumalanga.
Having started with a string of losses, the visitors have since gone on a three-match unbeaten run as Casric's inconsistent campaign continues.
Platinum City Rovers 0-1 Maritzburg United
Maritzburg United followed up their emphatic midweek win over Venda Football Academy with a 1-0 victory over Platinum City Rovers, who remain in the bottom-half bracket.
The Team of Choice are now second on the table courtesy of this victory and are two points off the leaders Orbit College with the winner coming from B. Chagi.
Upington City 1-1 Pretoria Callies
Upington City's disappointing run of form continued after the new boys had to come from behind to scrap out a 1-1 draw against Pretoria Callies.
The visitors were ahead after a goalless first half, but Upington had Riyaaz Ismail dismissed late in the second half nonetheless still grabbed the equaliser to force out a point.
Callies are still without a win though have annexed six points off six draws from seven matches played and sit in 11th place just one spot ahead of Upington.
