The PSL has announced a new key development concerning the highly anticipated clash between Stellenbosch FC and Kaizer Chiefs on Sunday.
Chiefs open their season against Stellies, a side they got the better of twice in the league last term – 2-1 at FNB Stadium via a Wandile Duba brace in January, before a 1-0 victory in a sold-out encounter through an early Glody Lilepo strike a month later.

As if that was not enough, Nasreddine Nabi’s men recorded a 3-1 success against the Winelands outfit in the quarterfinals of the Nedbank Cup en route to winning the tournament to end a 10-year silverware drought.
With the Soweto giants yet to be in competitive action after finishing outside the Top Eight bracket in 2024/25, thus missing out on the ongoing MTN8, there is heightened fever and anticipation for their clash this weekend.
Initially scheduled for DHL Cape Town Stadium on Sunday at 17:30, the game will now be taking place at Athlone Stadium, as per the communication by the PSL on Wednesday morning.
