Mamelodi Sundowns coach Miguel Cardoso had some special praise for the players after setting a new record in the Premiership on Wednesday
The Brazilians secured a 3-0 victory over Chippa United on Wednesday, which helped the side restor their 12-point lead at the top of the Betway Premiership table.

“Yeah, solid one we need to be very solid and we need to be a full team in the sense of the full moments of the game. I told them if we attack good, we defend good if we defend good, we also attack good. I think the team is very comfort in managing the full moments of the game that’s how the team has been growing,” Cardoso told SuperSport TV.
“I don’t like to suffer goals, sometimes it happens but we should do everything we can so that we avoid that. Congrats to the boys, very tough moment because of a lot of matches to play but we are excited, we’re happy, we’re profiting from the moment of the top of the log but most all we are anxious for the next one, next one, next one and finish the championship as big as possible.
“Big respect for the opponents, they train very hard we saw very honest team inside the pitch with very quality but we need to have the respect for us also so that we can be on our limit every match and a big congratulations to the boys,” he added.
The victory over the Chilli Boys also saw the Brazilians set a new league record with most goals in a single season with 57 goals.
“Today, we spoke about brotherhood and we spoke a lot about what’s written on our shirts what is ubuntu indeed and those values we have in the locker-room are the ones that sustain us and then that comes from heart, mind and passes the football inside the pitch,” he said.
“I’m happy for the boys, I’m happy we’re very ambitious, I’m happy we build a strong family because we’re a very strong family where even the ones that are outside they feel that spirit.
“We depend on all of them, we trust the board, the club and most of all we have a wonderful football players that was build by our sporting director Mr Flemming with the support of the club president, chairman of course so let’s keep making everyone proud,” he continued.
