Mamelodi Sundowns has been forced to seek an alternative venue for their CAF Champions League match against TP Mazemebe this coming weekend after being locked out of Loftus Versfeld Stadium.
Sundowns were set to host TP Mazembe at the Loftus Versfeld stadium in Tshwane on Saturday but moved the fixture to the FNB stadium due to a rugby match at the same venue. According to the Vodacom United Rugby Championship fixture, Vodacom Bulls are set to host DHL Stormers at the Loftus Versfeld stadium on Saturday.

Despite the CAF fixture between Mamelodi Sundowns and TP Mazembe already moved to FNB stadium, it's still not clear if Kaizer Chiefs will move away their DStv premiership match against Moroka Swallows slated on the same venue on Saturday.
"There are still issues with Lucas Moripe Stadium with compliance according to CAF standards and hence SuperSport United have also been playing their CAF Confederations Cup matches in Polokwane, "said the source close to Mamelodi Sundowns.
"There was another option to move the game to Moses Mabhida stadium in Durban but Sundowns wanted to keep the fixture in Gauteng. This was before they qualified for the CAF Champions League quarter-finals," he added.
Efforts to get Mamelodi Sundowns spokesperson Shupi Nkgadima about the change of venue for their CAF Champions League match against TP Mazembe proved unsuccessful when compiling the report.
The Brazilians, who have already qualified for the Champions League quarter-finals, host Amazulu in the DStv premiership match at the Loftus Versfeld stadium in Tshwane on Tuesday evening.
