OFFICIAL: Sundowns confirm latest signing

As predicted by KickOff on Monday, DStv Premiership champions Mamelodi Sundowns have confirmed the signing of Bafana Bafana winger Kobamelo Kodisang.

The Brazilians announced through their social platforms on Tuesday morning that Kodisang had been signed and reported to the club's premises in Chloorkop.

Kodisang had been a key figure for Portuguese outfit Moreirense, scoring 13 goals and providing five assists in his 35 appearances across all competitions in the 2022/23 campaign.

This season, the 24-year-old's form had somewhat dipped, with just one goal and three assists in 33 appearances across all competitions, and the switch to Downs might just inspire a much-needed lift.

The move means Kodisang will be making his first return to the PSL since 2019 when he played for Wits. He was previously on the radar of Kaizer Chiefs while with Braga, but the deal collapsed in the last minutes.

With the transfer window still in its early days, more arrivals and departures are expected at Sundowns. The African Football League champions have already parted ways with head coach Rulani Mokwena, midfielders Junior Mendieta, Bongani Zungu and Gaston Sirino, as well as striker Thabiso Kutumela, among others.

Steve Komphela has returned as senior coach with Manqoba Mngqithi expected to be head coach.
