Sipho Mbule's comeback is motivated by one of sports' greatest figures, Michael Jordan, hence the number 23 on his back, a number made famous by one of basketball's greatest figures.
The story
After his time with Mamelodi Sundowns ended on a slightly sour note, the man popularly known as 'Master Chef', found his way to Orlando Pirates and it seems like he's got his mojo back, drawing inspiration from Michael Jordan.
Now donning number 23 at the 'Buccaneers', Mbule took to his Instagram account to inadvertantly express where he's drawing inspiration from at his newly found home in Soweto.
Many athletes have used the famous number 23, all motivated by Jordan. David Beckham is one such footballer who donned the number during his time with Real Madrid.
LeBron James, also inspired by Michael Jordan still uses the number made famous by the former Chicago Bulls legend.
"Came back like Jordan Wearin’ the 23", wrote Mbule on his Instagram account a day after their tough encounter against his former team.
