Head coach Molefi Ntseki has pointed out Ashley Du Preez as Kaizer Chiefs' best signing in recent years.
The rapid ex-Stellenbosch attacker scored the equaliser in a narrow 2-1 for Amakhosi over Cape Town City on Sunday, which sees them progress to the MTN8 semi-finals.
Ntseki says the 26-year-old isn't even at 100% match fitness but hails him for his big heart and self-belief. The ex-Bafana coach also feels that Du Preez and repaid the club's faith in him by scoring goals.
Here's how the readers reacted to the "Ntseki: 'He is the best acquisition that we brought to the club'" story:
"Someone gave him a nickname and said he is "Lamborghini", I'm not sure whether it's an old name or a new one, but the way he is so fast, it suites him well.
"A fast winger is a nightmare for defenders. As a defender, you have sleepless nights if you have to be the one marking a fast player," says rmaseko1.
"An injury free Ashley will be good for us," says Legend CRM083.
"Even for Bafana Bafana," replies Danito 4 Life.
"Ashley has raised his hand for the upcoming Bafana friendlies. I hope he stays injury free and consistent.
"Mr Ntseki, credit must also be given to Mdantsane for that defence splitting pass. Any striker is as good as the supply they get," says gsithole.
"Ash is really coming in well now, his 'initiation' season is well through, it's time to deliver now," says Danito 4 Life.
