One of Fagrie Lakay's teammates at Pyramids FC seemingly rules the parking lot thanks to his Mercedes Benz coupe worth close to a million rands. Here's a look!
The story
Lakay certainly appears to be a guy who doesn't experience a lot of pressure, as his transfer from Cape Town City to Pyramids in January 2022 signaled a player who wasn't too shy to try a difficult new challenge in another country.
While perhaps his ability to speak arabic was one of the key factors in deciding to head to north Africa but the move was ultimately a bold step as South African footballers tend not move to other leagues in Africa, with only a few current exceptions like Percy Tau (Al Ahly in Egypt) and Mahlatse Makudubela (Young Africans in Tanzania).

Although the club is originally from Beni Seuf, it was moved to Cairo back in 2018 following a change of ownership. Life in the Egyptian seems to be quite lavish for many, including Lakay's colleague Mohamed Reda.
The midfielder appears to appreciate a vibrantly urban lifestyle, as he is often spotted rocking the coolest street fashion and attending the finest entertainment spots in the city. The 2022-year-old is new at Pyramids, as he joined the side in August this year from Modern Future in a deal worth €1.04 million (R20.3 million).
His Mercedes Benz CLA Coupe is the biggest eye-catcher, as the standard model is worth R908 255, according to Mercedes Benz South Africa. The ride boasts a progressive silhouette featuring four frameless doors and a modern radiator grille.
Its interior comes with "avant-garde engineered space and state-of-the-art controls" in addition to the innovative MBUX multimedia system, which allows Reda to further personalise elements like the multifunction sport steering wheel and seats. For many, the CLA 200 is a desirable car and it fits the bill as a premium sports car, although some experts have their doubts about its performance capabilities compared to other sports coupes.
Having only made his Egyptian national team debut in June this year, things seems to on the up for the young playmaker, as he is in contention for a spot in the country Afcon squad in January 2024.
