It’s been an incredible year for Sekhukhune United goalkeeper Renaldo Leaner, and his list of achievements has just grown longer after he secured yet another major milestone.
The story
It is now evident that Leaner’s talents extend beyond his reflexes, as the 27-year-old has earned another university qualification.
The goalkeeper, already building a reputation for his excellent performances between the posts, has once again shown his academic ability by securing a third tertiary qualification.

Sekhukhune proudly announced on their official X account:
“Congratulations to our goalkeeper, Renaldo Leaner, who today ticked another box, by graduating with a Higher Certificate in Sports Sciences, from the University of Pretoria.
“The 27-year-old already holds a Bachelor of Education degree, from the University of the Western Cape and a Sports Psychology qualification from UNISA.
"Good job 'Pie' Babina Noko are proud of your accomplishments, both on and off the pitch!"
This season, Leaner has already played seven matches, keeping three clean sheets across all competitions.
In June 2025, he also made his first two appearances for the national team, featuring in international friendlies against Tanzania and Mozambique.
