Kaizer Chiefs defender Mulomowandau Mathoho has received a stark warning that his future at the club seems bleak if the lanky defender continues to be subjected to the sidelines.
Mathoho is into his eleventh season at Chiefs and is one of only two players to have served the club for at least a decade alongside club captain Itumeleng Khune.

The 32-year-old is crucially into the last season of his contract at Chiefs and has featured just one solitary minute from the 10 games that the club has played this season so far.
The Bafana Bafana international is evidently at the back of the queue with Zitha Kwinika, Njabulo Ngcobo, and Siyabonga Ngezana all preferred while Thabani Dube and Aiden McCarthy provide further options in central defence.
In his last start in March, he only lasted 45 minutes before being pulled out at the break after a horrendous blunder handed Golden Arrows the goal that won them the match.
"I think that whole defence is supposed to be revolving around Mathoho," former Kaizer Chiefs player Benjamin Reed tells KickOff.
"If they are treating Mathoho like this, then it means he should know that what happened to Bernard Parker will also happen to him at the end of the season.
"In his head, he already knows that he is going to be dumped and already has a move to another club in his head.
"He is stressing.

"I saw him playing here in the Macufe Cup and you could see that he still has what it takes to play at this level despite not having played in so long.
"He just needs game-time fitness.
"With his experience, he shouldn't be left on the bench and the stands like what is happening now.
"Should all that experience just be left to rot on the bench and in the stands?

"Chiefs shouldn't be even having Siyabonga Ngezana playing ahead of Mathoho because he is erratic.
"I mean what justifies Ngezana playing ahead of Mathoho?"This gives us the suspicion that some players are liked more than others and not everyone gets to play on merit," says Reed.
