Former assistant coach at Kaizer Chiefs Farouk Khan has weighed in on the big debate about the club's current number one, Brandon Petersen.
The former Bidvest Wits goalkeeper has so far made four clean sheets in the 11 matches he has played across all competitions this season.

The error-prone Petersen has conceded 10 goals, most of them resulting from juvenile errors.
"Look he's been very unfortunate, he's a good boy, he's a good goalkeeper, if you look at the goal that he conceded, it wasn't the right time for the defender to pass the ball back," Khan told KickOff.
"But in fairness to the players, he should have had a better first touch. It's not the first time that we've seen him make these sorts of mistakes. As much as I want to support him, I think this time around he's got to take the responsibility. That was unacceptable. He is a very good goalkeeper, he just needs to make sure he avoids these types of errors.
"The building from the back is every club and coach's dream, but it is something that must be developed and applied and ensured that it happens over some time.
"From your academy level, players should start looking to learn how to do it. To be fair to Chiefs, the players that they have bought should be players with those characteristics. Look at Mamelodi Sundowns, they made sure that the players that they brought in can build up from the back. Is Thatayaone Ditlhokwe that type of a player? I don't think so. Is Given Msimango that type of a player? I don't think so. Is Njabulo Ngcobo that type of a player? I don't think so," he added.

"So already you have a problem. You cannot apply a tactic, without first making sure that a player has the technical ability to do so. We have to watch a couple of games for us to see if Cavin Johnson will be able to do things differently from what Arthur Zwane and Molefi Ntseki did. For now, it's still early. That's the only way you going to compare, you can't judge a man in one match. I mean he's been there for a week. All I can say is that, there wasn't much that was different with the way Kaizer Chiefs played on the weekend.
"They still lost possession in critical moments. They were still guilty of not being able to create clear-cut chances. I think in some instances they were a little bit fortunate to have lost by two goals to one. There is still a lot of work ahead of them. Look, they have a team that's made of players that were bought.
"Kaizer Chiefs have always been a team that's made of players from their structures. They would only buy what they needed to buy. If you look back at the time when Chiefs were successful with players like Thabo Mooki, Doctor Khumalo, and Ntsie Maphike...those were players who came through the development. Unfortunately in football, you have to pay your school fees. You have to go a couple of steps back before you go forward," added Khan.
Amakhosi in the past have thrived under transition or direct football under Stuart Baxter and Enrst Middendorp.
