Chiefs fans urged to exercise patience

Kaizer Chiefs fans have been encouraged to be patient with their technical team and players, as the rebuilding process typically takes about a year to complete.

The Glamour Boys are facing challenges again this season following the arrival of a new technical staff led by Tunisian-born coach Nasreddine Nabi.

Currently, the team has accumulated only 15 points from 11 games, placing them in seventh position on the log table.

On Wednesday, they face yet another tough opponent, in Stellenbosch FC, at FNB Stadium in what is a highly anticipated Betway Premiership match.

Former Chiefs midfielder Sandile Zuke believes that unexpected injuries to key players have disrupted the team's progress.

"I personally think that the impatience from the fans puts pressure on the players," Zuke told KickOff.com.

"Many people are unaware that, despite having a new coach, there has already been a significant improvement in the team.

"Since Nabi took over, the team has shown a lot of progress. Of course, Kaizer Chiefs is a big club, so there will always be expectations to compete, but we must remember that it's a process.

"The injuries to important players like Gaston Sirino and Edson Castillo have not helped the situation.

"We can't solely rely on strikers for goals. We need midfielders who can contribute with a couple of goals here and there. The team currently lacks creativity," he added.
