A former coach of Kaizer Chiefs striker Ranga Chivaviro has opened up on the pressure he's facing at the club and whether he is affected by the booing he received against SuperSport United.
Chivaviro had a decent start to his season after scoring two goals in his first three league matches.
However, although he scored once more against SuperSport in a 4-0 Carling Knockout win, his goal came just after he was booed and whistled to come off, after missing some clear chances against Matsatsantsa in a cup game.
He has seemingly not been the same since then, after he could not get on the score sheet in subsequent matches in the league against Gavin Hunt's charges, a draw against Magesi FC and the heavy loss against Mamelodi Sundowns in the Carling Knockout quarter-finals.

In an exclusive interview with KickOff.com, ex-Marumo Gallants head coach Dylan Kerr, who inspired Chivaviro to score 17 goals in 2022/23, has admitted pressure could be getting to the Limpopo forward but questioned whether Amakhosi are working hard enough on their finishing.
"For me, a striker that has confidence scores goals. Bradley Grobler is probably the one striker, when he's fit, that regularly scores goals because he has no pressure that Ranga has got at Chiefs, for example," says Kerr.
"But you can't just blame him. There's 11 players in the team, plus the subs. As I've said before, you've got to create chances for the strikers. With Ranga at Chiefs and the expectations since the new coach has come in, they've been talking for months that Chiefs are going to win everything, the cups, the league.
"There is high expectations on the coach and his technical team.

"Ranga needs the fans to get behind him. Yes, they're gonna get frustrated. Yes, they are gonna criticise him, especially if he misses easy chances. Ranga does miss easy chances, that's something he needs to work on.
"But you've got to ask the question: Are they working on the strikers as much as they should be doing at Chiefs? Are they creating opportunities at training where the strikers are scoring goals?" the ex-Leeds United defender quizzed.
