'ANGIYI NDAWO' - Chiefs forward responds to all the talk...

Kaizer Chiefs striker Wandile Duba has set the record straight on his future amid rumours of a possible move away from the Naturena-based outfit.

Duba stirred up tensions somewhat earlier this week when he posted a cryptic message on social media platform Instagram with the word 'departure'.

For most, that suggested a pending move, a conversation that has since dominated social media debates among football fanatics.

The 21-year-old is seen as a big prospect, especially in a position where the team has seemed to struggle in recent times. That he netted six goals last term points to his quality and promise in front of goal.
It would not be a surprise that the outspoken youngster has attracted interest from abroad, given his potential.
However, speaking to the media at a handover of a Nedbank Multi-Purpose Centre on Wednesday, the striker shot down such suggestions.
"Angiyi ndawo, ngizohlala ne team (I'm not going anywhere, I'm staying with the team)," clarified Duba.
Not only is he staying on at the Village, but he is determined to lead as the number nine. The task will be slightly harder this season with the club having reinforced with the signings of Flavio Silva and Etiosa Ighodaro.
"I think last season I did show [that he is ready to lead the attack]," he added.

"Not too much, but I did show that I am ready for anything, and I am willing to be Kaizer Chiefs' number one striker.

"I am happy now that there is 'Igha' and Flavio that I will learn from because they have been there, they always coach me at training. So, I am getting there. I am willing to be the number one."
