After an acrimonious breakup between Gerard Pique and ex-girlfriend Shakira, the recently retired FC Barcelona legend has now revealed the Waka Waka songstress' so-called 'replacement'. Here's a look.
The story
News of Pique and Shakira's separation first broke in June 2022 when the couple made their split official in a joint statement, ending their 12-year relationship, which has birthed two children, Milan (9) and Sasha, (7).
In September, the Colombian musician opened up about at length about their breakup in an interview with Elle which was featured in the October issue. Later that money Shakira went on to drop a song titled "Monotonia", where she speaks of her heartbreak regarding the matter.

The pair reached a child custody agreement in November, with ABC News claiming that the two boys would permanently move from Barcelona to Miami, where they will stay with their mom.
Things became increasingly messy earlier this month, with Shakira releasing a diss track called "BZRP Music Session #53". The track is aimed at the former centre-back and his new partner, Clara Chia Marti, which the singer names on the song, as she details their "betrayal".
After remaining quiet on the issue for a long time, Pique finally went public with his new love interest, posting a cozy selfie of him and the alleged 23-year-old Marti on Wednesday night.
Former Barca playmaker Riqui Puig and football information platform Transfermarkt were among those to congratulated the new couple.
