Cristiano Ronaldo has reportedly added to his vast £30-million property empire with the purchase of a £7-million piece of land in one of the most prestigious areas in Portugal.
Ronaldo, 35, is seemingly setting his eyes for life beyond the game with more aggressive financial investments in property in recent years.

After acquiring the most expensive flat ever sold in Lisbon that holds an indoor swimming pool and gym for a reported £6.5m, Correio da Manha reports he's now purchased a £7m plot in the Quinta da Marinha on the Portuguese Rivera.
While the daily publication suggested it's another investment towards his already impressive property portfolio, TV 7 Dias has reported that it's towards a retirement plan.
"The land was fenced off recently and it was purchased by Ronaldo," a potential new neighbour of the Juventus superstar told the broadcast channel.
"This is where he's coming to live with his family when he finishes his career. Everyone around here knows it and of course, we're happy. Ronaldo is Ronaldo."
Building the CR7 empire
With work already commencing on his latest mansion, it will be the latest in his homeland, with the most famous property being his seven-storey apartment block in his hometown, Funchal that was purchased in 2019.
Cristiano's property empire also includes a seven-storey apartment block overlooking the Atlantic Ocean in the Madeiran capital Funchal which he purchased last year.
According to The Sun, the father of four moved his 65-year-old mother Dolores and brother Hugo into the huge development - while he spent more time there flying to an from Turin after her stroke she suffered.
