Amakhosi will be playing Polokwane City at Peter Mokaba Stadium tonight, with kick-off set for 18h00.
If Chiefs win they’ll move within two points of third-placed Cape Town City with two matches left against Platinum Stars and title favourites Bidvest Wits.
“For us it is to finish in a better position. We want to collect as many points as we can. If there’s an opportunity to finish third we will do that, we will fight for that,” Tshabalala said.
He added: “There are teams that are fighting for league honours, there are those who are fighting to be in the top eight, there are those who are fighting in the relegation, so there’s no favours. Each and every game counts not only for us but for the other 15 teams as well.”
'Shabba' conceded the pressure is being felt at Naturena after a second season without silverware under coach Steve Komphela.
“There’s pressure all the time. If you win one trophy, there will be pressure that you could have won two. If you win two, why not three? If three, why not all of them?
“And it becomes worse if you don’t win anything. So we want to win, we also want to contribute to the success of the club. And yes it’s not a nice feeling to go two seasons without winning anything.
“But like I said it's part of the journey… and it’s a painful journey at times and there are lessons to be learned… and I think we’ve learned a lot on what has happened this season.”
