Mosimane has wished the Buccaneers well for their 2015 CAF Confederation Cup Final against Etoile du Sahel on Saturday.
Eric Tinkler’s side take on the Tunisians in the first of two legs at Orlando Stadium. Kick-off is at 20h00, and Mosimane believes the game is about far more than just a club trophy.
“This is a massive game for South Africa, not just Orlando Pirates. I have always said that I believe that Pirates are the best side in the country at the moment, and will represent the country well,” Mosimane tells Sundowns’ website.
“All the PSL clubs are learning a lot from Pirates, and the manner they have made their way to the Final. I wish them well for this game, and of course, the second leg,” he adds.
Sundowns and Kaizer Chiefs will represent South Africa in the CAF Champions League in 2016 while Bidvest Wits and Ajax Cape Town will participate in the Confederation Cup, and ‘Jingles’ believes Pirates have been setting the example for all of them.
