Gabuza and striker partner Kermit Erasmus both have five goals in the event, one less than top scorer Baghdad Bounedjah of Etoile du Sahel.
The clubs will face each other in a two-legged final next month.
"I don't even know how many goals I have scored [in the tournament]," says Gabuza, who received a hero's welcome with the rest of the team at OR Tambo International Airport yesterday.
"The only important thing is to help the team win games, that's it!"
Meanwhile, Erasmus says he and Gabuza are playing well off each other. The pair netted in the 4-3 win at Egyptian giants Al-Ahly in the semi-finals on Sunday night.
"Me and Gabuza share a room together, we are always together," Erasmus says.
"We have a good friendship and are quite close, and playing together has brought us more closer.
"For me it's always good to play with someone who knows his strength and he knows mine and I think that benefits both of us."
