The 25-year-old has been a star performer for the Buccaneers this season, but is yet to catch the eye of Bafana Bafana coach Shakes Mashaba.

Rakhale does not want to get drawn on his absence of national team caps, but feels if he can improve his decision-making in the final third the recognition might just come.

“Coach [Eric] Tinkler only talks to me about my responsibilities, which include going at defenders and creating chances for my teammates,” he says in the latest edition of KICK OFF Magazine.

“So far I’m happy with my contributions and Tinkler contributes to my development is helping. I need to improve on taking shots and creating more chances – I believe I can score goals too.

“I get forward a lot and when I reach the final [third], sometimes I make the wrong decisions. That is what is killing me and that needs to improve.”
