Etoile scored late on to register a vital away-goal and ensure a 1-1 aggregate score ahead of the return leg to be played in Sousse next week.
Goalscorer Jemal has described his 87th minute strike as "the best goal" in his life due to the importance of the match as well as the result.
"I think it's the best goal in my life," said the 28-year old defender after the match.
"It's in the final, and it was very important, but we still have another game in Sousse."
The Tunisian international also believes the result away from home was not a bad one, and says he thinks he will score again in the second leg.
"1-1 is okay, but the final is not only played here in Johannesburg, we still have the game in Sousse and i think I will score another goal," he adds.
Etoile have not lost a competitive match at home in their last 20 encounters in all competitions, and are yet to taste defeat in Sousse in this year's continental campaign.
Jemal is confident that they can continue their impressive home record in the second leg next week Sunday, and believes their supporters will also play a key role.
"It's true that Sousse is our stronghold and that's where we have our supporters, who push and strengthen us while we play.
"It's also true that we always win our games [at home], but we have to stay focussed and win the game, which I believe we can," he said though his French translator.
